This book compiles images with writings from mothers featured in the love’s labor project. The writings range from poetry to personal essays and musings on motherhood. They are both lyrical and honest, demonstrating the breadth of experiences felt through both childbirth and parenthood, with no two days quite the same.

Special edition of 200, with proceeds to be donated to Birth Detroit, a Black-led nonprofit that provides safe, quality, loving midwifery care and childbirth education to pregnant people in Detroit. Birth Detroit is set to open Detroit’s first freestanding birth center in 2024.
